About Us

Midleton Medical Centre was founded by Dr John Thompson in 1971 with the aim of providing excellent primary care to the people of Midleton. Dr Brian Jordan joined the practice in 1978 .Over the years the practice has grown in both size and range of services provided. Dr. Thompson and Jordan retired to be succeeded by Dr Colin Healy in 2006 and Dr Donal Mulvihill succeeded Dr Jordan upon his retirement in 2013.

We are an academic practice affiliated with UCC and are actively involved in training our next generation of doctors and GPs. Each year we teach 3rd year medical students who attend the practice on a 5 week rotation.
